We seek a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. The
ideal candidate will be crucial in overseeing and optimizing logistics processes in the
context of our recovered paper and ferrous scrap trading activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and optimize logistics operations in transporting and moving recovered paper and
ferrous scrap materials.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with logistics vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and cost efficiencies.
- Strategize best practices on bookings, incorporating technology for efficiency.
- Continually assess and refine logistics processes to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and
improve overall operational performance.
- Promptly address and resolve any issues or challenges in the shipping and logistics
process.
Key Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and exceptional accuracy.
- Fundamental mathematical skills and intermediate expertise in using Microsoft Office
Suite.
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to collect data, identify and define problems, and create effective solutions.
- Experience in logistics operations management, preferably in sectors like recovered
paper or metal trading.
- Capability to work independently in a remote setting.
